London: Salon Du Chocolat Show Part One

Last Sunday I attended the Salon du Chocolat show at the Olympia in Kensington. I hadn’t heard of Salon du Chocolat before until I saw it advertised. This was the first time the event had took place in London as normally it’s held in Paris, Cannes, Brussels, New York, Tokyo and many more cities around the world. On first impressions the event looked smaller than previous events, it was held on the ground floor in one of the buildings that Olympia owns. salon-du-chocolat-show-olympia-kensington I was expecting there to be more stalls than there was as I walked around everything in about an hour. Around the outside of the room was a chocolate kitchen with demonstrations, a tasting room and a chocolate kitchen where you could make chocolates with moulds and finally a chocolate workshop for kids. salon-du-chocolat-chocolate-workshop

The Catwalk must have been in the morning when the event first opened as I missed it which was a shame as I was looking forward to it. hotel-chocolat-bath-filled-with-chocolate-at-the-salon-du-chocolat-show

There were around 9 dresses that were designed by fashion designers and chocolatiers. Some of the dresses were fully made out of chocolate and my favourite was the Lindt chocolate dress than also came with a fan too.

What is your favourite chocolate brand?
