I have owned a Nutribullet for nearly a year now and I have tried lot’s of recipes except the home made hummus one. Here are the ingredients that you will need to make the hummus from scratch. I normally buy quite a lot of store bought hummus as I love to toast pitta bread and dip them in the hummus. This ingredients makes quite a lot of hummus that will last 3-5 days chilled. I got the recipe from the recipe booklet that came with the Nutribullet.
2 Cloves of Garlic
2 cups of canned chickpeas rinsed and well drained
1 tsp sea salt
1/3 cup of tahini
Juice of 2 fresh lemons
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
vegetables or pitta bread to dip
I blended all the ingredients into my Nutribullet and tasted it as it was being blended. You may have to stop a couple of times to make sure it’s mixed properly and that the chick peas aren’t stuck.
